Our team

Founder of PhilanthropyAid, Martin has over thirty years’ experience of finance, marketing, personnel management and project management. Following a career in banking and asset management, in Europe and in the USA, Martin was appointed in 2010 Head of Finance & Administration for the Office médico-pédagogique (Department of education, State of Geneva). In 2013, he participated in the launch in Geneva of the Fondation Pôle Autisme and assumed the role of Secretary general of the foundation until 2016. In 2017, he became Finance & Administration Manager of the Association J’aime ma Planète, a Geneva- based NGO specialized in education for sustainable development. From 2019 to 2022, this mandate was provided through PhilanthropyAid. In 2020, Martin Leafe also undertook a mandate, through PhilanthropyAid, for nine months, as Finance and Office Manager (ad interim) for Save the Children International, Geneva. Martin holds a BA (Hons) degree in French and German from the University of Exeter (UK), a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance (Université de Paris IX- Dauphine) and a Bachelor of Theology degree (Université de Genève). A UK citizen, he is able to undertake mandates in French, English and German.

After several years as a researcher in a multinational pharmaceutical company, Gwénaëlle Bouscary moved into the field of salary management and human resources. She worked and evolved within a Geneva fiduciary for six years, including five years as head of the HR & Payroll department, with numerous NGOs as clients. Her competencies encompass payroll management, registration of NGO’s and employees with various social security and insurance entities and human resources advisory services. Through her experience, she has acquired in-depth knowledge of the needs and specific requirements of NGOs. Gwénaëlle Bouscary holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of Geneva and a Federal diploma in Human Resources. A French citizen, Gwénaëlle speaks fluent French and English.

Fernando Piccinini has over thirty years of experience providing legal advisory services to asset management firms and private banks in the UK, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. For the past sixteen years, he has managed the internal legal function of a leading family-owned private bank in Geneva. Fernando holds a Bachelor degree in law from the University of Buenos Aires and a degree in law from the University of Nottingham (UK). A Swiss citizen, he speaks fluent Spanish, Italian, French and English.
